1. Where did you grow up?
I grew up in a historical town called Olomouc in the Czech Republic. After studies and travels in Europe, Vancouver was the next destination where I pursued a career in VFX, worked on Hollywood movies and fell in love with the beautiful wild pacific north west. Canada became my second home. And now New Zealand's got my heart.
2. When and how did your horse journey start?
It started at a local pony club, where I learned the hard way, the morning chores, being bullied by the older riders, the basics of arena riding and the joys of riding through the forests. Then fast forward 20 years - a 5 day horse packing trip in Chilcotin mountains, volunteering on a horse rescue ranch and getting into the trekking in stunning New Zealand.
3. Who’s currently your favourite horse and why?
Monty. He's the sweet but cheeky one and a perfect size for me.

4. What’s your favorite horse movie?
The Magnificent Seven, the old western movie, a heroic film with badass cowboy riders, beautiful scenery and epic soundtrack.
5. What’s your least favorite chore to do around horses?
Filling up the hay nets. The hay just ends up everywhere, even in your underwear.
6. What's the one ride you’ve been on that you’ll never forget?
Horse packing for a month in St. James Conservation park with my friends in November 2024. Wild country, wild stories, wild weather and terrain, lots of lessons learned.
7. Where do we find you when not riding?
Probably on the water, in a kayak, on a sailboat, swimming, surfing. Or preparing horse plans in Rhyme & Reason while sipping on kombucha and munching on the delicious bao.
